Training

Training resource

Our Training Resource is a set of materials to help health care and consumer organisations build their own workshops. The aim of the Training is to help organisations develop a service that is more responsive to consumers' needs, enhance service quality and improve consumers' health outcomes. The Training Resource will help organisations develop:
1. More ideas about how to actively involve consumers and engage communities;
2. Skills for staff and for consumers;
3. Greater understanding of models and methods that enhance consumer participation;
4. Enhanced appreciation among staff about the value of consumer participation; and
5. Organisational change through consumer participation.
This Training is arranged into four two 1/2-half hour sessions (see chart that follows). The Training begins with a session for staff and consumers (Module A), followed by separate sessions for staff (Module B) and consumers (Modules C), and concludes with a joint session for staff and consumers (Module D.)
